Hello Kathrin, tell us a little about yourself!
Hi! I'm Kathrin, 25 years old and originally from Münster. I moved to Amsterdam to study Leadership & Change Management, but I'm back home again now for my job at pacemaker.ai. In my free time, I like to try out new DIY projects and travel as much as possible.
How did you come to join us and what appealed to you in particular?
After my studies, I was looking for a job with a wide range of tasks. The flat hierarchy, personal responsibility and creative freedom appealed to me in particular and were ultimately decisive in my decision to join pacemaker.ai.
What was the application process like for you and do you have any tips for the selection process?
The interviews felt more like an exchange between equals, with a lot of focus on our own ideas about the job and the environment. My tip for the selection process: be yourself and communicate openly what is important to you! In the long term, both parties are only happy when mutual expectations are met.
How would you describe the vibes in our office and what do you find particularly cool about our working atmosphere?
The atmosphere in the office is relaxed and there is a lot of interaction between the different departments, which means that you always learn something new. I find meetings like the Ways of Working particularly cool, because everyone can contribute suggestions for improvement that help us as a company to constantly move forward.
What does your working day as a People & Growth Manager look like now?
My workday is a colorful mix of recruiting, onboarding new employees, organizing events, processing requests from existing employees, as well as projects for our corporate culture and the implementation of processes.
What has been your most exciting project so far, or do you have a cool story about successful teamwork?
I particularly enjoy any projects that contribute to the long-term satisfaction of our employees, such as the design of feedback meetings and feedback culture
How does our company help you to realize your potential?
By giving me the freedom to organize my own daily routine and initiate new projects. In addition, Udemy courses help me to further educate myself and learn new skills.
Your personal highlight so far!
Rather a regular highlight: our team days for socializing, where we meet once a month so that our remote-first culture continues to work ideally.
What would you tell a future pacemaker?
Be open to new ideas and contribute your own ideas! As a company, we can only improve if employees with different experiences contribute their expertise and also question existing processes.
Thank you, Kathrin, for sharing your journey and insights with us! Stay tuned for more stories from our incredible team here at pacemaker.ai.
